It’s so exciting to see brands increasing their size ranges or adding on plus size lines. And the newest plus size range to hit the market is Dorothy Perkins Curve.
The brand have been drip feeding size 18-28 pieces onto the site for the last week or so, and they have more pieces to come. I was lucky enough to be given a few pieces to try – some of which are yet to become available.
I have created 4 looks out of 5 pieces from the range. The trousers and the jacket are a 20 and the rest are 18s.

This is a more casual look – perfect for taking the kids to school or popping to the cinema in the evening. The stretchy dress fits true to size and is rather short on 5’7 me, hence why I would pair it with tights.
The jacket is super comfy – a little large on me with this look, but I sized up to allow for layers. It lovely and soft and doesn’t look too cheap or fake.

This would serve for a more casual office look. The functional zip detail on the skirt adds a little something extra, and the risque front slit makes it versatile.
I found the shirt a great fit across the bust – but I will probably stitch the buttons up on the inside just to add a little peace of mind.

For an office to party or just a generally glammed up look I would pair the shirt with the pleather trousers. With the office look I would tuck the shirt in and unbutton it slightly, but by buttoning it all the way up and leaving it untucked, it gives it an edgier evening look.
I always size up a size or 2 in trousers because my large bum takes up so much room. However, I needn’t have bothered in these, and I think an 18 would have worked really well – a 16 (if it existed) would have been a little too tight.

If you’re after a super glam look then the lurex dress of dreams is for you. Dipped hem, sexy slit, ruched waist band, plunging neckline…. this dress has it all. It’s a real head turner. It fits really well in an 18, but my only gripe is the amount of fabric around the waist. I found it added quite a lot of bulk. I would probably add a belt to it just so it suited me a bit more.

What are your thoughts on the Dorothy Perkins Curve range? Are you excited to see what has already hit the site and what’s to come? Personally I like the variety of the pieces, but I just hope that the size range increases one day.
