As a lot of you may have seen on my social media, I was recently in Greece with Curvy Kate! I was lucky enough to get gifted several gorgeous bikini sets to rock during the trip, and so I thought that I would talk you through each set and give you my thoughts on the fit and style.
Hi Voltage, 38H/20
Right off the bat, I should tell you that I have found all of the swimwear super tight in the back, and so I would recommend sizing up. The style of the cups makes it perfect for a slightly more active day, as there is a good amount of coverage. I really loved the colour of this set – pink really pops against a tan! I found the bottoms a good fit, but my tummy did squidge out a little at the mesh portions.
Halternecks are typically problematic for the bustier woman, but thanks to the firm band this was pretty bearable for an hour or so – and even after that, just lying down and sunbathing and taking the strap down for a little while helped relieve the pressure somewhat. The harness detail straps are also easily removed or moved. I really like the bottoms – the little strip of pattern is really flattering, and they are a nice height.
Cross Over Bandeau – 38H/20
The colourway that I have on here will be coming out in August, but CK do currently have a delicious pink/orange number on their site! I was pretty sure that I would hate this style due to the cross over halterneck style – but once again I was pretty surprised at the minimal discomfort! I did need to adjust it every so often as it did tend to tighten around the neck a little, but it was so nice to wear a different style!
Set Sail 38H/20
I quite liked the sporty feel of this set, and being a turquoise fiend, the pops of colour were perfect! I am also loving how many of the sets come with high waisted bottoms!
Revive – 38H
As I am a fan of the higher waisted bottoms, I paired this set with some old Elomi bottoms – I live for the mix’n’match! The colour is lovely, and perfect with a tan.
Jetty Flamingo – 38H/20
As much as I really love the colour of this set, sadly the fit didn’t really work for me. It was purely aesthetic – there seemed to be a bulge of excess fabric under my arms. I don’t think this would be fixed by trying a different size – it seemed to just be a non compatible shape for me.
Daze – 38H
Once again, I paired this bikini top with some older high waisted bottoms. Again, as with the Jetty, the shape wasn’t so great on me. I feel like it would work better on someone with bottoms heavy boobs – or it would be perfect purely for sunbathing and getting a little more boob out!
