Fellow UK dwellers – we have had one hell of a shit summer! Thankfully it’s meant to heat up towards the end of this month, so I might have some use for all the lovely beachwear I bought in anticipation of the sun! Failing that, I will be rocking my summer wardrobe in Greece in a few weeks!
This set really toes the line between cute beach co ord and pyjama set. It is a little bit ‘Josephine and her Technicoloured Beachcoat’, but I really love the aqua colors and supersoft fabric. It does crease a little bit as you might be able to see in the photos, but thanks to the pattern it’s not overly visible. Should the matchy matchy get too much then I can just wear the pieces individually, but it’s just so perfect to throw on over a bikini and walk to and from the beach in. I am wearing a 22 in both pieces, and although the shorts are a little roomy on the waist, the rest is bang on.
This gorgeous Junarose kimono is perfect as beachwear or as loungewear. As a faux redhead I really like how the green looks on me – and I especially like how it glams up my lovely Elomi swimming costume. Jungle print with leopard print – winner! Both are size 20 and bang on.
Pink is not my favourite colour, but somehow I don’t mind it when it comes to beachwear. I think it’s because it’s so pretty and vibrant and feels very summery. This cute little playsuit is wonderful because it’s light and easy and perfect to chuck on, say, if you’re going from the beach to the restaurant and want to cover up a little – and the waist sash is a huge yes from me! A 22 was ideal for me in this – and no camel toe, woohoo!
Speaking of easy to throw on playsuits – this striped gem in a size 22 is perfect deckchair chic, hehe! Once again I am loving the tie at the waist, and although it’s very plunging, it works as beachwear. It does go a little see through when wet but it dries off nice and quickly!
What do you think of my beach looks? What do you like to throw on over your swimwear in the sunshine? Would you wear any of these?
