So when I decided to create this post last week I wasn’t really sure what to call it. I knew I wanted to make it about trousers, but I just didn’t know what title would work best. I posted a sneak preview of the looks in my social streams and I used the now title of this post as a caption… and honestly, people went crazy for the photos! And so I figured it would be the perfect title for a very out of character blog post!
I actually acquired all of these trousers very recently – I bought the blue pair and the others were gifted but with no ask of a post, but I fancied showing you them anyway and talking you through four different looks that I conjured up. And so, without further ado…
Ok so I never thought I would like palazzo pants but these are so darn comfy! I went for the pear fit version from Evans but they also sell them in a regular fit as well. I have these in a 20 and they are slightly big on the waist, but thanks to the drawstring they sit in a really nice place.
I personally found it quite hard to pair shoes with them, and in the end I decided on these pointy shoes with this post. When I have worn them out I wore them with sandals and peep toe shoes. I like pairing them with a black top as it makes it look like a jumpsuit – and hoorah, one that doesn’t give me a camel toe!
Next up is another all black look, but a slightly posher one!
I do love the pear fit products from Evans – and these black pear fit skinny jeans are a life and bum saver!
I teamed the jeans with an old body from ASOS – shop for a similar one here. Some black heels would be perfect with this look, but I love the idea of a pop of red with some strappy heels from New Look. The hat just adds a nice trendy twist, although I nearly lost it in the recent windy weather!!!
If you really want to make a statement then these gorgeous custom made silky wide leg trousers from Mable are to die for! They look and feel so luxurious and pairing them with my Forever 21+ crop top gives the look a smart casual vibe.
These trousers are so completely out of my comfort zone but they are just gorgeous! They almost look like a skirt, and I love how they swish and billow as I march about in them.
My final look is far more relaxed.
I am IN LOVE with these size 20 ASOS jeans! They fit so well and feel so good and I quite like how my bottom looks in these…
I teamed these from tassle jacket of jeans from Elvi which I chose to tie up to help add to the casual vibe. This look will also work super well with some brown boots or flats as well as with the heels that I have teamed them with.
Which look is your favourite? Are you also a trouser avoider like me? Let me know and tell me where you like to buy trousers from!
