Hello my lovelies, I hope everyone is well!
Sorry for the silence but I have been in Australia on my honeymoon for the past few weeks! To see what I got up to check out my Instagram – @fullerfigurefullerbust.
Sadly whilst I was there I had something nasty happen to my leg – possibly a bite that got infected, and then our journey home turned into a nightmare when our plane broke and it took over 40 hours to get home! My leg puffed up like a balloon and it’s still not gone down fully, but I am on antibiotics and on the mend! And so you might notice a few awkward poses and a dinosaur leg in these photos! But the focus is not on that.
I get a lot of questions about how to wear pin up style dresses during the colder months, and so using some of the new Lady Voluptuous styles (I wear a perfectly fitting 16 in all of them) and pairing them all with some woolly tights from The Big Tights Company, I thought I would show you a few looks that I created that might suit a few occasions! I apparently chose the windiest day of the year to take these on, but at least it’s authentic!
My first look is a smart look – maybe something that could be worn to work or a meeting. I chose to use the delightful Lady Voluptuous Marilyn dress to demonstrate how I would winter this up in a smart way! You may be able to spot an ErstWilder brooch on my coat.
My next look is a far more casual look – maybe something to wear for the school run or on a coffee date with friends. I chose to use the new long sleeved, block colour Lady Voluptuous Lyra dress for this look.
I always love seeing photos of people who toughen up their pin up dresses – and so that’s what I chose to do with my Lady Voluptuous Winter Phoebe dress. This could also work as a way to be weather proof in the dress, and then change the shoes and remove the jacket upon getting to a venue.
And on a similar note, here is the Lady Voluptuous Lyra dress again, this time paired with a biker jacket and pumps – a smart casual look.
My favourite look to create was a more glam look wearing the Lady Voluptuous Marilyn dress. My gorgeous fascinator is a bespoke piece from Amanda Callaway – she also made me a gorgeous rattie one that I will show you one day!
I hope you enjoyed my winter pin up ideas! How do you usually rock your flouncy vintage dresses during the colder months?
