I get SO many requests for smaller from women who are below a size 16 and really want a slice of the Lyra action – however, Lady Voluptuous is a plus size line only I’m afraid!
I have seen a lot of women proclaim this to be the most perfect maternity and breastfeeding dress thanks to the empire waist line and crossover bust.
And speaking from personal experience it’s just so easy to throw it on during warmer days, or dress it up for nights out – it’s so versatile!F
The dress is fairly long on 5’7 me, but I think that the style really helps carry it off. The sash at the waist and floaty sleeves give it the vintagey feel, and the fabric (that never seems to crease!) doesn’t cling too much or go too see through.
As seen in these photos – I took my purple and teal Lyra dresses to the park on one beautiful summer’s day. The floaty skirt kept me cool and they aren’t too dressy.
The night photos in the raspberry, green and royal blue dresses (which I hope look ok!) show the dress with a What Katie Did baby corset underneath them, and prove just how easy it is to make them look smart and dressy with the right accessories and look. And the skirts are also perfect to dance in! I wear a size 16 and it’s perfect.
Do you own any Lady Voluptuous Lyra dresses? Where have you worn yours? I would love to know!
