As my wedding draws ever nearer and elements of my bridal outfit start to come together, I find myself seeing more and more dresses that leave me thinking, ‘wow, that could really work as a wedding dress!’ – especially for brides on a budget.
One such dress that I chanced upon recently is one that could easily be used as a wedding dress or by guests depending on how it was dressed up.
It’s by Chi Chi London and it’s available from ASOS Curve. It features Chi Chi London’s signiature embroidery and beauitiful layers of fabric, and it may not be your traditional all ivory floor length affair, but it could definitely pass as a wedding dress.
The dress I went for is an 18 and it is MEGA TIGHT – but it’s intended to provide built in support and structure so that it can be worn without a bra, and so it has to be. Those thin straps could be changed or removed or added to if you did want it as a dress for your big day, or you could make like me and pray to the boob gods that it keeps you aloft! I think that they would start to cut in as the day progressed so changing them up might not be such a bad thing.
The multitude of layers mean that there is no need to add a petticoat, and the nipped in waist is deliciously flattering. Would you wear this is a wedding dress?
