*Before I start this post I feel that it’s important to note that both of these dresses have now sold out. Therefore my review will be more picture rich and touching on the sizing and my love for this label.*
Some months ago I spotted my beautiful friend Curvywordy looking stunning in this blog post featuring some delicious City Chic dresses.
Caroline could sell me anything. Her smiley face, gorgeous locks and crazy curves are definitely a USP, but these dresses – these I HAD TO HAVE!
Thankfully for me, Caroline found that the fit of them (XS in City Chic aka UK14) was a little tight over her bust, and I was super happy to take them off her boobs. hands.
These dresses have very little stretch to them, and therefore I did also find them snug, but a slightly better fit than Caroline had. My bust felt locked down but in no way squashed or uncomfortable.
The dresses come with a lovely light built in petticoat that helps hold the shape of the skirt beautifully without it being too puffy. They also came with a belt, but I preferred to add one of my own eBay finds.
I do massively enjoy the items that I see from City Chic. It is such a shame that they do not ship to the UK, but I guess it’s nice for America and Australia to have some exclusive things! They are a little on the pricy size, but the pieces I tried were really high quality and very much worth the money. The models are really beautiful, and there are always customer photos to be found on their social feeds.
I really hope that this is not my last experience of pretties from City Chic. Adorable purely plus size designs are few and far between and we need more labels that are exclusively plus and created with bigger bodies in mind.
Have you ever tried anything from City Chic? How did you find it? Let me know in the comments!
