Hey hey everyone, sorry for the slight absence, I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and you’re looking forward to New Year!

Lady V London are very well known for making swing style dresses, although they have had a few wiggles here and there in the past. They recently introduced several more fitted and pencil styles, and one of them was the beautiful Loretta.

A few of my readers have remarked that this dress is similar to the Pinup Girl Clothing Ava dress, and I do see where they are coming from. I did find that it was similar in some ways bar the arms being more generous, lack of sash, thinner and ever so slightly stretchier material and it was slightly shorter.

I tried this in a 16, and found it pretty true to size. I think an 18 may have allowed my boobs a little more room as the 16 did make them somewhat reigned in with no cleavage, but it wasn’t uncomfortable.

As ever, I paired this dress with a smooth Freya Deco bra, some Maidenform shaper shorts and heels – these ones were from Primark.

I found the waist to be an amazing fit for me, and I didn’t even feel like reaching for a belt. The length was perfect on my 5’7 frame, and as I mentioned, the arms were nice and generous.

The wrapover is a true wrap ie, if you were to lift it you would expose leg and a little more! But even with my generous hips and thighs it was a decent fit on me, and didn’t shimmy open as I walked.

The colour of this particular Loretta dress from Lady V London is one that I adore, and I love how it looked with my hair and skin tone. It does come in several other colourways and patterns that have me drooling over them, and who can resist the way the lovely October Divine shows how it works so well on a curvy figure?!

Are you tempted by Loretta? Which colourway is your favourite?
