I am a HUGE Scarlett & Jo fan. And so I OF COURSE adored this latest press release:
1940s style? Wayhey! Sign me up!
My general size in Scarlett & Jo is a 16, and this dress was a perfect sweet sixteen.
The dress is made out of a thin stretchy jersey like material that doesn’t crease easily and hangs really nicely.
The dress falls to just below my knees which is the perfect length for me and it’ll make the dress very versatile throughout the year. I also love the sleeves as they were not tight and they covered my arms. I really liked the neckline as it was low enough to balance the fit and length, yet high enough to make it office appropriate.
The dress comes with an attached sash to help cinch it in at the waist. I do like it, but I may just chop it off and add a belt because although I love how it looks done up, my personal style is to add a belt. I feel comfortable and I feel I look better as well.
The pattern is beautiful and subtle – simple yet elegant. My only gripe with the dress is that the material is a little thin. I have worn it with a beige bra and you couldn’t see the bra through the dress. However, I noticed that these flash on photos do help show it off a little, and so I would need to bear that in mind for the future.
If you would like to give one of these dresses a try then you can find it on the Evans website here.
The shoes are these extremely comfortable true to size Marks and Spencer t bars.
The headband is from New Look.
How do you like this new look from Scarlett & Jo? Are you excited to see what they will release next?
