Not so long ago, Pinup Girl Clothing extended their size range in several of their items. One item was the Christina dress, seen here in purple.

I tend to be a XL-2XL in PUG items, with the occasional need for 3XL, and I know that plenty of you lovely lot require larger sizes, and so this was fantastic news! Check out Pinup Girl Clothing’s delicious looking plus size section here.

I was very keen to give the Christina dress a try, and my wish came true a few weeks ago when a 2XL purple Christina arrived in the post for me.

2XL is pretty much my standard size in PUG items as I mentioned, and the clothes are often cut for my curves. This dress was no exception, and I felt like I had been poured into it. I naturally teamed it with my Maidenform shapewear to help smooth me out and pull me in.

The dress is made out of a stretch sateen. It has enough give to accommodate me, but wriggling the dress up to use the toilet proved a little nerve wracking. The material does crease and wrinkle rather easily during wear. I also found the bust to be ever so slightly small and shallow on me, meaning that my Freya Deco bra revealed itself a little too much. It was a perfect fit on the arms, and I really loved the collar detail.

Despite the fact that the 2XL is already too big on my waist, I do think that my next foray into the land of the Christina dress will involve me trying a 3XL, just to see how it fits. It is very touch and go across my hips, and that extra few inches would have allowed me a more comfortable cab ride!

I wore this dress out recently, and I naturally did team it with an old belt and bolero to suit my arm conscious waist loving style.

The dress did turn a few heads and it awarded me many compliments. It really is a show stopper!

What do you think of Pinup Girl Clothing’s size expansions? Will you be giving their dresses a try?
