During a recent Curvy Kate event I was lucky enough to get up close and personal with the models… oh, and the new and current offerings from the brand! Being that I am a sucker for anything teal/turquoise, the one set that really caught my eye had to be the Dreamcatcher in Petrol.

That gorgeous teal with the pops of raspberry – yes please!

Luckily, my dreams were answered when I received the set in size 36H/22 at another recent event, and I tried it on there and then and felt divine in it!

The colour works really well with my skin tone and hair colour, and the bra and briefs were both an excellent fit. I find that I am a 36H/36HH in most Curvy Kate bras, and the bands are usually stretchy yet firm. The briefs do come up rather small and can cut in somewhat, and so I always try to go for larger sizes to help accommodate my proportions.

The shape of the cups meant that I was given a beautiful subtle cleavage without feeling like I was spilling or falling out of the bra. I felt very elevated and brought together making this bra practical as well as cute!

The bra gets it’s name from the ‘dreamcatcher’ patterened embroidery seen on the cups. It’s a very striking simple pattern – a variation on polka dots.

The straps are fully adjustable and the band has three hooks and eyes – perfect! The three part construction of the cups certainly helped give me the rounded shape, however, the top section did also push my bust down a little meaning that from the side I had a slightly pointed shape.

Sadly the wire was not *quite* long enough to prevent a little side boob making an appearance. This bra would be perfect for shorter torsoed women or women that find their bras poke them under their arms.

What do you think of this set? Do you own any Curvy Kate bras?
