At Panache’s recent press event I was measured as being a 36HH/J. As their highly aclaimed sports bra stops at an H cup it meant that the best size for me was my sister size – 38H. Sadly it was just too big in the band and I although I adore it for low impact sports I didn’t feel that I could give an honest review of it.
Luckily I have a friend who frequents the gym and was willing to give the bra a go. She is a 32FF/G/34F/G and so I advised that she try a 32FF as the cups are a tad generous and the band is true to size, unlike a lot of sports bras. Here is her account of it…

“As a rule I don’t like moulded bras as the moulded shape and natural shape are not always the same so there are spaces where the breast does not fill the mould.
This seems to be less of a problem in ‘normal’ life- just moving around naturally. I expected more of a problem in a sports bra, used mainly for Zumba, so a reasonable amount of bouncing would occur. Having used a non moulded 34F Shock Absorber for years I was expecting some rubbing from this Panache sport bra, moulded and wired, size 32FF. There were some spaces in the cups but they did not cause any discomfort as I bounced through my Zumba class. I felt very secure, in fact I was not aware of my bra. There is a little more flesh overhang under the arms but I can live with that.
It was a bit too tight to wear in the racing back style and not yet been washed so I can not advise on how it will deal with that.
All in all, I am pleased with the bra’s performance during my rather vigorous work out. I also really rather like the grey and lilac colour.”
If that doesn’t convince you to snap one up here then why not check out Cheryl’s review here.
And Kelly’s review here.

I bought one of these a couple of months ago and it’s been a revelation! Previously I was wearing my Freya Deco underneath my Freya sportsbra because I hated the pointy boobs the sportsbra gave me by itself, but frankly it was a very uncomfortable combination. The Panache bra is a godsend by comparison – doesn’t flatten my chest too much, gives a more natural, rounded shape and it works without feeling like my chest is being crushed. I wish there were more moulded sportsbras in larger sizes.
I agree that the band is TTS and the cups are slightly large.
wow I really like this one! x
I have 36E chest so I need quite a bit of support :p do you think it would be ok? Or should I go down a back size?? :\ x
Do you wear 36E in everything or sometimes 34F/38DD?
I wear it in everything, like every day bras,
I have one (in purple!) and am not as amazed by it as others are. It may be that I’m still sorting sizes, being generally 32G, but 30H-ish in stretchier brands like Freya. I bought the 32G, but I think I would do better in the 30.
I find that it does not control the bounce as well as the Wacoal 32G sportsbra that I have (and I’m not super in love with that one either).
It IS attractive, but I’m still on the hunt for a bettter sports bra for me.
I have one in a 32H, and it it the best thing ever! I used to avoid gym at school, getting changed in the toilets, feigning injury or skipping school completley to avoid PE. My 38DD sports bra over 40D t-shirt bra was lumpy, unsupportive and uncomfortable, I envied my small-chested friends pretty bras. Since a proper fitting, I have gone from a 38DD to a 32H, and feel so much more confident. I love gym, joined a jogging group, and am getting fitter and more and more confident. This bra has actually changed my life! Thanks Panache!
Amy.
This was my go to bra for my derby practices. At first the band was snug but after I washed it the first time the band was fine. As for the racerback option of this bra I notice that on that form I get zero bounce and my boobs stay put. In the non-racerback option there were some slight bounce but they were minimal. My other sports bra is from freya the under-wired version. That one is ok but I do not like the Madonna- Vogue years look as I go to practice but I could careless about that look when I am working out. Oh and on this bra I wear my Panache size which is a 36G. I really love it more than Freya!
I have recently bought two of these, and I am very happy with them. I have been wearing freya ones for years, but I hate the pointyness. I tried a shock absorber, but only able to get them online, after two didn’t work, I think I’m done with them. I tried this one, through Nordstrom (in the US, free shipping and returns- just in case) and I love it. I like the molding, so there’s no perkiness showing through in my cold gym. I’m a 34H, and it holds me in snugly as I run. Definitely one to try if you’re looking for a new sports bra.
